The PolarExplorers 2011 Greenland Icecap Crossing is just days away! The team members, who represent 6 countries, are looking forward to meeting in Kangerlussuq, Greenland on May 12 for the start of this incredible expedition. They will be crossing the Greenland Icecap from east-west, a distance of roughly 550 km, by ski with dogsled support.
The team will be making regular reports from the icecap during their journey and they plan to send in both audio files as well as pictures. We will be posting these on this blog and we encourage you to follow along! You'll be able to send the team questions and messages of support by clicking on the link to your left.
The expedition blog will officially start on May 12, 2011. Check back again soon for bios and pictures of our team members, and remember to visit often to hear the latest from the team!
